Our Vision

Worship Schedule - April

April 6 Service of Word and Table

3rd Sunday of Easter:  The Katrina Mission Team will share their experiences of their March mission in New Orleans.  The Gospel lesson is the Emmaus story found in Luke 24:  13 – 35.   Rev. Richard Higgins will celebrate Holy Communion.

 April 13

4th Sunday of Easter:  Rev. Susan will reflect on Psalm 23 and John 10: 1- 10.  Her sermon topic will be God, Our Shepherd.  The Sacrament of Baptism will be celebrated on this Sunday.

April 20
Reconciling Ministries Sunday

5th Sunday of Easter:  Each year the Outreach Committee sponsors a Reconciling Ministries Sunday, celebrating our status as a reconciling congregation in the United Methodist denomination.  Diane DeLap, a member at Ballardvale United Church in Andover and a transgender woman will share her story.  Since the inclusion of transgender people in the United Methodist Church will be debated at General Conference (April 23 – May 2) Diane’s message will be especially pertinent.  The lectionary readings for this Sunday are from Acts 7:  55 – 60; 1 Peter 2:  2 – 10 and John 14:  1 -14.  Audrey Hartness, a third year student at Boston University School of Theology, will share her gift of sacred dance.

April 27

6th Sunday of Easter:  Rev. Susan will preach on The Healing Touch of the Holy Spirit.  The lectionary readings will be from 1 Peter 3:  13 – 22 and John 14:  15 – 21.  There will be a time for the laying on of hands for healing.
